Trying to find information on John Driscoll (b 1832 approx) and his wife Kate or Catherine O'Neill. John and Kate lived in Rineen and worked at the Mill. Their children Thomas, Mary, James, Catherine, Johanna and Ellen were baptised in Union Hall before they left for St Olaves, London. John worked on the docks of Rotherhithe. 4 more girls, Bridget, Anne (Hannah), Laura (Nora) and Margaret were born in England.
There were other Driscoll's in Rineen at the the time, Johanna, Mary, Jeremiah. I know that Jeremiah lived in Forenaght, married Bridget McDonnell and had a father called John. Two of his children, John and Ellen, were buried in Clonakilty in 1840's.
Any info would be appreciated.

The Ellen and John, siblings, buried in Clonakilty should have had dates of 1945 and 1949 (not 1840's).
There were many Driscoll's in the area, but one that I cannot find anything about is the 'Blackstaff Driscoll's'.
However the name Thomas comes up a lot. It is hard to figure it all out and any help would be most appreciated. It is quite possible that my John born abot 1832 had a mother called Mary,
I have been DNA matched to a family of McCarthy's who have Driscoll parentage, and went to live in Hamilton, Cinncinatti, Ohio in the 1860's.
Mary Driscoll b about 1796 turns up with her daughter, also Mary (Driscoll) who is the widow of Michael McCarthy. She has son's Matthew (b about 1846) and Michael (b about 1859) and her husband is dead by the time she arrived in the States in 1860. In the 1880 census she also is living with her brother, James who is also born about 1820's or so.
I suppose it all helps.
