I’m looking for records and stories about my great-great grandfather, John Jordan, who was a weaver in Gortroche, County Cork. He was born around 1805 and emigrated with a Catherine and a Patrick (probably wife and son) around 1851. John died in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada in 1882. Any help tracing him would be much appreciated.

  • This John was born in 1797, not 1805, but as ages vary widely in censuses and other records, I am presenting it here, just in case.
