Castletownroche families

My paternal grandparents and their ancestors are all from Castletownroche - Mehigan, Bushe, Duane, Joyce, Scully, Doherty, Murphy, O'Keeffe, Rogers, and Brien. The Mehigans were originally in Ballygrillihan (late 1700's) and descendants are still there. The Bushes for many years were the Castletownroche village shoemakers. I've done a lot of research on these families and am in the process of writing a family history which includes chapters on these families as well as chapters on Castletownroche and its churches. Our family name changed from Mehigan to Meehan after my grandfather emigrated to Cambridge Massachusetts in 1886.

I am visiting Ireland again June 19 - July 3 and will be in the Castletownroche area the second week and would love to meet any of you.
