Hi from Brisbane, Australia

I would dearly like to hear from anyone who has done/is doing family history research into the surname LUCEY (Lucy, Lousy and all its variations) in the parish of Clondrohid, near Macroom, West Cork.

  • Hi,

I saw your post looking for information about Luceys, Clondrohid. My great grandmother was Ellen Lucey(1853-1945) Cabragh, Clondrohid, County Cork. I have some information about that family and the current Lucey descendants if you want to e mail me.

  • Hello tp the writer "Kilmurry Cork"

I recently paid a visit to a Mrs Mary Kate LUCEY of Kilgobnet. She has confirmed my thoughts of a connection to the LUCEYs of Bawnatanaknock. I now know her parents' names but I need to follow through to ascertain her grandparents, particularly her paternal grandfather's names and this may lead me to the "connection". I am not sure at this stage how Cabragh fits in to the picture but if you wish to post me some information about your family, I'll try to see if there is a connection.

    With best wishes from Brisbane.
