Hello,

My 3rd great grandparents Patrick Keeffe and Mary Casey were married in Kilworth, County Cork on 21 February 1841.  Shortly after, they must have moved to Glanworth because their 2 eldest children Mary and Thomas (my 2nd great grandfather) were born there.  I'm guessing they came to the US between 1845 -1847 because their 3rd child William was born in Boston in June of 1848.

I have birth information for Patrick - born in Kilworth on 16 March 1805.  On his death record in 1879, his parents are listed as John Keefe and Mary.  Whether or not these names are accurate I do not know.  I would love to know if Patrick had siblings and their names and if the surname was Keeffe or O'Keeffe - the family seemed to use both variations.  Once I did find a Michael O'Keeffe living at the same residence as Patrick in 1854 but I didn't find anything else on this person.

I also wondered if Patrick Keeffe was a widower before he married Mary Casey.  He was 35 at the time of their marriage and I thought that was a little older than usual for that time period.  Not sure, but I think Mary was around 20 years old.

Mary Casey is the person I'm most curious on finding information.  I have no birth date for her, nor do I have her parent's names.  I'm not even sure if she was born in Kilworth or Glanworth or one of the surrounding areas (Mitchelstown?)  I was contacted by someone whose ancestor is named Catherine Casey (she married Dennis Sheehan in Kilworth 16 July 1836.)  Because this 3rd cousin and I have common DNA we think they may be sisters, but there's no information on Catherine either.

I've looked at the baptismal records for Patrick's and Mary's children hoping to find a Keeffe or Casey name but no luck. If anybody has any suggestions I would love to hear!
