  • Hi Phil,

    I couldn't find a birth, baptism or death on www.rootsireland.ie/ or irishgenealogy.ie/ but Family Search has 2 William Warner christenings in Macroom, Cork: 6 May 1744 parents Benjamin & Eleanor & 26 April 1747 parents William & Eleanor

    I then had another look at roots & found that there are 10 Warner burial records from Macroom RC parish but the earliest is 1821.

    The earliest Irish Census which has Cork records is 1841 but there are no Warners in Cork!

    The Tithe Applotments (free) have 30 Warners in Cork 1825-33.

    If you have not already tried the National Library of Ireland has the R C registers freely accessible now; the earliest Macroom records are 1780 but they also have 5 Cork City parishes (search for Cork City in the main page). St Mary's, St Finbar's & SS Peter & Paul all have baptisms & (some) marriages from the 1740's on. No death records though.

    If you post the family details we could search for the children's records.

    I suggest you try www.irishgenealogy.ie/; it's a free site which has 320 Warner records mostly from Cork - some as early as 1780's. On the main page select Church records, do the captcha then enter Warner (no first name) Cork & leave years blank;

    It is a lot easier than wading through the nli RC registers which might be your next step.
