Looking for records of Catherine O'Connor married to Patrick O'Connor born approx. 1839 and also her mother Catherine Aherne married to Michael Flynn around 1800. We also would like direction for this graveyard as no one we have asked locally seems to know its whereabouts. We would be grateful for any help!

  • Sue:

Go to Google. Enter Lismire Co. Cork Google Maps and you will get a map which includes Kilcorcoran cemetery. You should aslo be able to get directions. Not sure if this link works but I will attach anyway.

  • Kilcorcoran is quite a small civil parish and consists of just six townlands. The only cemetery I can fiind in the parish during the 1800s is a small one beside the old Kilcorcoran Church in Rossline townland. This appears to have been an established church, so Church of Ireland, but possibly an old shared graveyard. The church seems to have been closed soon after this and is in ruins on the later maps.

See :  Kanturk to Rossline townland (Google map directions)
