Dunnes

thanks to anyone who can help.  my great great grandfather was James Dunne, born 1833 to Patrick Dunne and Catherine Slattery.  I think Sraharla or Farahy.  Anyone got any info on Dunnes or Slattery family?  Imagine I live in Cork but have never been to Kildorrery.

James owned a Foundry in Fermoy.

  • Dear Cian:

Thank you for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board.  If you would create a profile for your ancestor, James Dunne for the XO Chronicles, that would be great.  Many of our members check the list of profiles and it is very possible that someone viewing your ancestor profile will have more information about James Dunne and the Dunne and Slattery families in Kildorrery.

For your reference,  the link for the XO Chronicles is here:

  • My 2nd Great-Grandfather, John Murphy was baptized in Kildorrery in 1832.  His Mother was Honorah Slattery.  I am wondering if there is a relationship between Honorah and Catherine.  I have no other information on Honoroh, other than her spouse was Michael Murphy.
