Any information on Mary Murphy b. 1876 in Graigue, Kildorrery would be  most welcome.  She married Patrick Halloran in England in 1903 (he was born in 1879, in Kilfinane).

  • I have now had confirmation that the original certificate sent from Ireland was wrongly transcribed.  Mary Murphy's mother should  be Galwey not Halvey.  This has caused many hours of wasted time but it is good to get the corrent name in the end!  Carmel kindly sent me a list of births from St Bartholomew's church with the mother's name of Ellen Gallagher.  Is there any possibility that the mother was Ellen Galwey?  The children listed all had an address in Graigue and the dob's are very similar.  Is there anyone who could help me solve this mystery, please?
