i am researching my ancestor in new zealand, rev. richard davis, he came from piddletrenthide, but is descended from an o'donnell who came from ireland to wales after the battle of kinsale in 1601, he married a Miss Davis and took her name, for security. this is all I have on the irish connection, any info would be gratefully received
