Hi there

I'm interested in the following people:

Michael Keleher b. ca. 1791-1797 in Mallow (my GGGG Grandfather). He married Mary Sullivan ca. 1811 and had children Catherine ca. 1812, Michael 1815 and Mary 1818 all b. Mallow. He then married Elizabeth Maloh/Malau/Mohley (my GGGG Grandmother) in ca 1820 and Had children David b. ca. 1823 William ca. 1824, John ca. 1824, Thomas ca. 1827, Julia ca. 1832, Honora ca. 1834, Elizabeth ca. 1835. The family left for Australia on the Lady McNaghten in February 1837. Toddler Elizabeth died on the voyage.

Michael possibly had another marriage between Mary and Elizabeth, no children known of.

Any information would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Craig

  • Hi Craig,

The parish records for Mallow start 1809-1922 for baptisms and 1758 for marriages but there are gaps.
    (Gaps: 1810-1817 & 1829-1831) 1758-1922 )

Unfortunately no records found for any of the names you mentioned, no baptisms of any of the children nor Michael Kellehers marriages, very strange

    Sorry about this

  • Thank you. It's possible his name is recorded as KELLER which appears on some documents at the Australia end, but this is possibly just a derivation of KELEHER.
