Hi,

I'm trying to trace a John Healy of possibly Belmount, born about 1860 +/- 2 years. All help appreciated.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The only John Healy baptismal record I could locate in the RC parish which includes Moviddy is the 1867 record below. Do you have John's parents names?

  • Hi Roger,

Our John's Father's name was John also. Mothers name is not known but we know of "cousins" who are Foley.   We know of connections to the area of Belmount where there is a concentration of Healy but our John is an enigma. No sign of him anywhere.on any site. Griffith Valuation has a John in 1852 in our area of interest, which may be our John's father as a young man/12-15year old.

  • Denis:

Usually, someone 12-15 would not be listed in Griffiths but possibly John the father was older when he had the younger John and the record you located is for him.
