I have checked all the baptism entries for you, all children were baptised in Newmarket, it is of course possible that the family lived in Newmarket town and not in one of the townlands around Newmarket, I have also checked the Griffiths valuation for Newmarket but there is no Richard listed. What makes you believe they were from a townland around Newmarket town?

Other than the baptisms in the Catholic church, I have no reference for Richard and Margaret's residence.  That is what I am trying to determine.  They left Ireland in the fall of 1849, so it is not surprising that Richard is not in the Griffith valuation.  I am looking for another source which could help to determine if the family lived in Newmarket town or in the surrounding area.

I went to Griffiths Valuation. On the top row.
Searched for Griffiths names........Place names that it is ...........Newmarket Cork
Comes under Clonfert.
Back to the name search...........Jones in Clonfert
Lists several Jones, onen the spy glass and make a note of each townland.
Enter each townland name on a search engine add cork map.
You should be able to get to the nearest area in the town that way.

Thanks for all the assistance everyone.  Using a research technique suggested by John Grenham, I located Richard in the valuation field notes taken about 1846.  They lived in Upper Scarteen Townland.
