seeking information on Samuel McLaughlin & Hannah Frizzle who married in St Patrick's Church in 1861.  They had a number of children prior to moving to Scotland in the 1880's. Seeking information on their births from what I can farther they were Prebyterian and from Samuel's death certificate his parents where a John McLaughlin and Agnes Christie. Hannah's parents were  named as a William Frizzle and a Jane Thomson on her death certificate. Jane was born in the northern liberties of Coleraine according to 1851 census. Samuel and Hannah's son Daniel was born in July 1869 and his birth was registered in Coleraine. At Tim of Samuel and Hannah's marriage Samuels residence was stated as Mascoquin any Hannah's as Bally? Coleraine.

  • Hello Betty,  I went to rootsireland.ie and found the mariage record for Samuel Mc Laughlin and Hannah Frizzle in 1861.  I cannot however find either of their birth records.  The presbyterian records start approx 1848 or so they may have been born too early to be registered.

I did however find records for their children,

    Hannah    b. 29 Dec 1867

    Daniel      b. 1 July  1869

    George    b. 9 Oct 1873

    Hugh       b. 14 May  1873

    Emily     b. 22 Apr  1875

Sameul is listed as a labourer on some records and fireman in a distillery on another.

    Hope this helps a little,

    Kind regards,

    Anne Dennehy
