Looking for information on Matthew Miller of Donegal County. He was born around 1760. Family record say 1715, but he died in 1827 so that birth date seems unlikely. He came to Ireland as part of an army of occupation from Scotland. He was Presbyterian.
He married Mary (Mollie) Dunn of Londonderry.
While in Ireland they had one daughter Margaret , born in 1781 and possible a son James(birthdate unknown).
He immigrated to the United States between 1786-87
He landed in Philadelphia and settled in what is currently Juniata County Pennsylvania
In 1791 he moved further west and north to was then Barree Township, Huntingdon County Pennsylvania.
He purchased a 330 acres farm for $2310.
The couple had 5 sons. James( birth date unknown) , David (born in 1786), Thomas( born in 1789), Samuel (born in 1791) and John(born in 1794)
