I found an 80 year old Anne Conolly in Ballygallum in the 1901 census. I did not find her in the 1911 census so I presumed that she died in the interim. I checked www.familysearch.org and found a death index record for an Anne Connolly in the Downpatrick registration district in 1908. Possibly this is your Anne. You would need to write to the GRO www.groireland.ie to get a copy of the death record. Fill out their form and provide the quarter/year, Downpatrick and the volume and page number. You can use www.familysearch.org to search for birth index records of her children and a death index record for her husband John.

Thank you for the information. This is probably my ancestor but as there is a difference in the ages it is hard to establish it is the same Anne.  My Greatgrandmother's siblings were born c1870 so the 1821 birth in the census seems unlikely but it fits with the 1835 birth ion the death certificate.

i am very grateful for your effort
