I have just found a possible relative who may have stayed in Ireland; Albert Collins born 29th April 1913 marring Susana Maxwell 24th november 1934 Warringstown. He is the son of james Colins who died the 1st day of the Somme. I am not sure how to proceeed as to finding any info post 1934. I can not see children born to the couple, maybe they died or imigrated. it is not my Albert who died 14th March 1937.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows of this family.

  • Greta,

The on-line civil indexes have cut off dates. Deaths over 50 years ago are on-line, as are marriages over 75. Births have to be over 100 years ago to be on-line on the GRONI site. To find any children to Albert & Susanna, you need to get someone to go into GRONI in Belfast and search on the public terminals there. You can search right up to yesterday if you go into their offices. The closed records are not available anywhere else. So that’s probably why you can’t find any children to the couple. (Of course they may not have had any or may have left Northern Ireland. Those are also possibilities).

It’s probably worth adding that, for privacy reasons, it’s not our policy to give out information about living people on this site.  Though it’s OK to suggest ways of finding them.
