Just wanted to let you know that after doing a bit more research, I learned the difference between a civil parish and an ecclesastical parish; a Catholic Parish and a Church of England/Ireland Parish, etc. In the case of thes two, the parish Dromore is within 10 miles of the Parish Ballyward, where my family is from, and they are both in the civil parish of Drumgooland, soto answer my own question; yes, it is quite feasible. I'd still like help finding sources though.

Hi, If these people you are researching are Church of Ireland (Protestant) have you tried the RCB library in Dublin where these records are stored (see website) If they are Roman Catholic try The National Library of Ireland in Kildare St. Dublin (see website) PRONI in Belfast will provide details of other denominations.
