I have very little information,but i am looking for the parents and family of a Paterson Dodds who was born in Co Down about 1825.He married a Margaret McNeil who also born in Co Down about 1836.I have found Paterson and Margaret on the 1861 and 1881 cencus living in Dalry in Scotland.Their children are Elizabeth ( who married David McMeechan ).Jonn and William.
Paterson has worked as an iron miner and a mill worker.

Can?t see a marriage in Ireland listed that fits for this couple. Did they have any children born in Scotland, either in 1855 or from 1861 onwards? If so, get one of those children?s birth certificates as it will record where and when the couple married.
