I am looking for the family of John Collins (abt 1810-?) and Arabella Kerr (abt 1815-?) ( not sure of her first name as I have seen it spelt both Anna Bella and Arabella)
their children were born in Dromore and are as follows
John Collins (1838-1910)
Joined army and lived in England, married a Jane Collins (her maiden name) in Cornwall
Bessie Collins (1845-1940)
married a William John Payne and moved to Dumbarton, Scotland.
Robert Collins (abt 1848-?)
no further information

Hi there I have just seen this query. I am from the Collins line. My 3rd great was John collins and 2nd Hans Collins and 1st great grandfather John Collins.
I do know my 3rd great married a jane Petticrew and they lived at Saintfield. Their son Hans was born in Kilmood and my great grandfather may have been born at Ballygowan area. In my ancestry search it comes up John Collins and Annabelle Kerr. Not sure of any of their history but i do know my 3rd GG was a headmaster at the old school in Saintfield. I think his father before him was a Farmer. Is this of any help to you
