Samuel Gibson and Mary Ann Russell were married in 1st Saintfield Presbyterian Church approx

14th December 1832 by Rev Henry Simpson.

There were 2 children born in Ireland, Jane 1833 and Elizabeth 1836

The family left Belfast 10th June 1838 on the "Mandarin" for Australia.

The shipping records state that both Samuel and Mary Ann were "natives of Saintfield"

Samuel's parents were Robert and Jane Gibson. (Farmers)

Mary Ann's parents were Hugh and Elizabeth Russell. (Farmers)

There was a Hugh Russell Sr. and Jr.in Tonaghmore townland

Also found Robert Gibson, Dromore. Will probate 1832. Executor Jane Gibson of Dromore

Not sure if any of these are connected.I am hoping someone might know if someone in their family, Russell or Gibson had emigrated and have more details of the family who remained in Ireland or may have emigrated as well.

Any information would be really appreciated.
