Samuel, was riding on horseback in a parade, when the horse became frightened, throwing him to the ground and stepping onto his chest, causing his death. He left a wife and seven children.

 

MARY2 MATHEWS (Mathews1) was born in 1810 in Ireland. She died on 27 Jul 1892 in Ovid,
Seneca, New York, USA. She married

Samuel Dugan on 29 Mar 1835 in Ballyroney Presbyterian
Church, Ballyroney, Down, Ireland. He was born about 1810 in Ireland. He died about 1856 in
County Down, Ireland (At age 32).

History

Back in the first part of the 1830s Samuel Dugan and Mary Matthews were united in marriage
March 29, 1835 and onto them were born seven children--three sons and five daughters, as
follows: Robert, Sarah, George, Jane, Samuel, Elizabeth, and Agnes Isabel. When the children
were small their father, Samuel, was riding on horseback in a parade, when the horse became
frightened, throwing him to the ground and stepping onto his chest, causing his death. He left a
wife and seven children.
