To whom it may concern.

I spotted the photograph of the house in Dunsfort whilst googling "William Hamilton Smith doctor". I would like to know where you have gained the information from as there are many inaccuracies in it.

The house was the home of the Smyth family in the 1770s and as there were no legitimate Smyth heirs it passed to John Fitzsimons who was married to the niece of Henry Smyth brother of Dr. William Hamilton Smyth. By the time the photograph was taken between 1903-07 all the above mention people had died.

My family still live in this house and the image was put onto the internet via the Ask About Ireland website by myself.

With regards to other information I have established a Facebook page named "The Lecale Peninsula" which has information on the barony of Lecale gathered by myself from numerous sources.

Regards,

Duane Fitzsimons
