I have been trying to sort out my family tree and would love to learn more of my Great grand mother Mary Jane Todd. I know her father was James and she married My Great grand father in 1867 in the parish church in Enniskillen. I have see a census of 1911 that's shows he was a widow at 68 but they did have 3 children Mary Anne 40 Susan 34 and my Grandad who was 15. I also seen somewhere that they worked in a workhouse maybe laundry maids and a Grand boy ? My grandad got married back in the Uk 1915, but there was a story of his birth certificate being out by one year 1895 or 1896 maybe to join the forces? I am most interested to find anything about Mary Anne as she will be my true roots to Ireland ( she may have had a farm ) ? I am also trying to get to Enniskillen this year but will read more of the time they were living in and I guess the work houses. 

Thank you in advance I have tried to look and support the the site but it keeps asking me to join again could be a time thing as I'm new.

    No luck in the irish Censuses of 1821, 31, 41 or 51 or the Tithe Applotments

    I couldn't find the family on the 1911 census that you mentioned; can you post it?

  • I will try and add it, thank you so much I have some research to do now. Not quite understanding the birth cert would she been  a catholic and the father on the wedding cert is James ?

  • Thank you so much. I am still trying to find out more on James Todd and his daughter deaths? Didn't realise how far back in history this goes back and the what was happening in Ireland and the world. Joseph Robinson I believe was in the Worcester 29th regiment but when he got married did he stay in Ireland awol ?
