Trying to reconnect broken family

I looked through the 1901 census for Brooksboro (spelling varies) and could not locate any Kirwin/Kirwan families. In the 1911 census, I located a Sarah Kirwin who was a servant in a household in Brookeborough.

I am not really sure of how the townland and parish systems work, that's why I usually mention the marriage first. We're not 100% sure of this census as the child is listed as only Mary and not Mary Frances.

This looks like the family in 1911, spelt KERIVAIN living at Corlough (Brookeborough, Fermanagh)

Corlough is the townland...

Brookeborough is the Electoral district...

As you say in 1901 they were lving at Carrickpolin (Grogey, Fermanagh).

I don't know how far the 2 Townlands are apart.

The one question about your census record is that the father is John not James. I also notice that there was a Sarah in this household and possibly it is the 26 year old Sarah in the record I found in 1911.

Sean has given you some good suggestions so I would focus on those two areas.

Roger - I definitely plan to start on Sean's suggestions. The James/John thing on that census, the children (Sarah et al) are listed as grandchildren, so I believe James was the grandfather and they were all living in his house.

John Cunningham was my ancestor ( he married Susan Wenlock) and I am a member of a Queensland Australia Cunningham family. I have traced him through Ancestory.com.au and found out a little. Then I did a websearch and came up with this.

Can I suggest that you post your message in either the Cleenish Fermanagh parish page or the page for Co. Fermanagh. Other than me and Sean and Kerri, no one willl see your message. Possibly others mya have info to help although you are going back into the early 1800s.

I don't know if your family was RC but if show the Cleenish RC records start around 1835 which is likely too late for John's baptism. The 1862 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Cleenish civil parish shows a Henry Cunningham in Letterbreen townland in Cleenish parish. This could be the father of John or maybe a brother. If it was the father then maybe the birth index record below is also him.
