As civil registration for births did not begin in Ireland until 1864 there will be no birth record for George. I couldn't find a baptism for a George between 1820 and 1830 in Mayo either. It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the Early Birth and Marriage Index as it is updated regularly. If your ancestor does not appear now they may in the future.
