  • Should of said family home was in Glenloughane and this (Clontuskert) was their parish Dates maybe a bit rusty  but James was buried in Ferbane 1851  and his son John/William 1850.  Also James wife Divah/Diana Horne was buried in Aughrim-1842  with her father Jonathan Horne-1734-1821 and Uncle Robert Horne both had lands around the area.

The family moved from Ferbane and we worked our way up to Belfast which is where we are now. But I feel there are ( hope )some family roots still or about Balinasloe or even try to find where / who  the rest of James family are

    Thank You

  • Mike:

I noticed that you have not received a response. I took a quick look and the RC records for Clontuskert start in 1827. On July 8th the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. Below are the records which are available for Clontuskert. The parish is in the Diocese of Clonfert.
