Kilchreest Castledaly Parish Church Restoration Project

Castledaly Church,  seven miles east of Gort on the N66 was built by James Peter Daly  in 1850 and has served as a place of worship for the community since then.

Our current Parish Priest , Fr Joe Roche a native of Gort and a locally based  Parish Finance Committee have embarked on the replacement of the roof and other repair works within the Church and grounds

The total amount  will be borrowed from  the Diocesan Meithal  Fund and will have to be re paid over a period of ten years. However, it is hoped to have  the borrowed money repaid in six years.  If anyone is in a position to make a donation towards this worthy project they may make a payment to Kilchreest/ Castledaly Parish Account No 3 at Bank of Ireland, Gort, Co Galway.
