I am looking for help from anyone that might have information on Fahey/Fahy family members from Headford or Mountross. Through DNA I have found that I match a line that is coming out of this area. I am looking for information on family of my great-grandfather, John Patrick Fahey, who was born around 1870 in Ireland and immigrated to the USA before 1890. He was apparently estranged from his Fahey family and never spoke of them to his wife and children. I have been looking for my Fahey ancestors (his family) for over 15 years and am hoping that the DNA has finally led me to the right area. On his citizenship papers, it says that he was born in "something" ford. I'm hoping Headford is the place. His mother may have been a Connell. His father may have been Joseph.

If anyone can help me find my missing link I will fly to Ireland personally to thank you!

  • ColCaff, I wish it was...but alas that birthdate is just too late. I have his court records for his application for citizenship in 1889, so I know he was born no later than 1871. I appreciate your help!
