My great grandfather Patrick Kelly was born about 1835 in Loughrea (I believe).  Patrick immigrated to the Us about 1845 arriving in Milford Massachusetts where he lived the rest of his life.  In 1870 Patrick married Mary Kelley.

Patrick's father was Thomas Kelly.  I have not located any information about Thomas, he may have died in Ireland or during the voyage to America.

Patrick's mother was Winnifred Hubon born in 1805.  

Winnifred's parents were Patrick Hubon and Mary Lally.  Other than names I have no other information.

Winnifred and Thomas' other children were Thomas Kelly born 1837, Mary Kelly born 1835, James Kelly born 1833, and William Kelly born 1843.  I have been told that Winnifred sent each of her children to America at about the age of 15.

In America my great grandfather Patrick Kelly married Mary Kelley who was born in 1847 in Loughrea (I believe).  Mary immigrated in 1867.  

Mary's parents were Patrick Kelley and Margaret Coleman.

I am planning to visit Loughrea this coming September and would love to know as much as I can about my ancestors before I arrive.

    I found there are several Lally family members buried in the Abbey Cemetery.
