Hi my name is Rhonda I am Trying to find any information of where my gggrandmother Margaret Kilroy came from.Maragert was sent to Australia in 1849 on the Inchinnan she married Patri Nealon at Parramatta nsw in 1851  she & Patri had 12 children she died in1896 .Margaret mothers name was Ellen & fathers Name was Patric Kilroy,she was born in 1821 any information will be nice                                                                                                                                                                                       Also Patric Nealon he is my gggrandfather he was sent out to Australia in 1837 on the Herber he was born in 1817 & died in 1876 at Parramatta nsw any information to will be nice.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

    You could have a look at rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) or familysearch.org (a free site) to see if there are any baptism records for Margaret or a marriage record for Patrick and Ellen. As civil registration doesn?t begin until 1864 there won?t be a civil record for Margaret?s birth. As this is the case, you will be dependent on parish records. These begin at different times in different parishes. You may be lucky and find that Margaret was baptised in a parish in the early 1810s-1820s and parishes records exist.  As her parents would have married in her mother?s home parish, this may or may not be the same parish as Margaret was baptised in.

    Have a look at the suggested sites and let me know what you think.
