I've not yet been able to locate any information relating to my grandmother Elizabeth Joyce's roots.  Her parents are John Joyce of Peterswell, County Galway & Mary Linnere of  Ca?? County Galway.  My GrandMother was baptised July 3, 1886.

 

I leave for Ireland in a few weeks and hope to be able to visit the area.

    I went to www.rootsireland.ie and searched for Elizabeth Joyce with parents John Joyce and Mary Linnere?  However I couldn't find any record with these names.

    I did however find a baptismal record for an Elizabeth Joyce, father John Joyce, mother Mary Linnane in the parish of Peterswell, Co Galway in the year of 1886.

    You would need to join this site (free membership) and pay to view this record (about 5 euro).

    I believe it really would be worth your while to see it.

    Thanks ever so much, I've paid my $$ and now have the information.  This is so kind of you to share this with me but what a shame we have to pay the $$ to locate this.

    But as you said, it was worth my while to see it & now I'll share it with my family.
