Looking for marriage info for Patrick Wallace & Mary Kelly possibly 1865-1868.  I don't know DoB or DoD for either.  They had 5 children between 1868-1879.  (Patrick Jr, John, Anne, Ellen, James)  All born in Dunmore.  Anne baptised in Adderpoole, James listed in Carronurlaur.  Anne & John immigrated to the USA; possibly Partick Jr as well.  Can't seem to get past Patrick Sr & Mary.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I looked for the marriage record with no success. The only Patrick Wallace/Mary Kelly marriage was in 1865 in the Midleton registration district which is down in Co. Cork.

I looked up the 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Liskeevy civil parish. There was a Patrick Wallace in Carrownurlaur townland. Not sure if this is the Patrick who married Mary Kelly or his father or an uncle.

I located the 1901 and 1911 censuses for the family although the John was still in Ireland through the 1911 census and married so maybe this is a different family. Mary died between the two censuses. I located a 1902 civil death index record for a Mary Wallis and possibly this is your ancestor.

  • Hi Roger ~ I recently found the 1865 marriage & viewed it on the microfilm.  It's index only & the helpful ladies at the FHC didn't think this was my couple since Midleton was quite a distance from where I believe the family is from.  I will definately check out the Griffiths Valuation link.  My next trip the FHC was going to be to start researching the spelling "Wallis" so the 1902 death index could be a great lead.  I thank you so much for your kindness in looking for my great great grandparents!

Glad to help. Let me know if you need more assistance. You can get a copy of the Death record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. I can forward instructions if you want to get a copy.
