We are looking for verification of an Abbie Gelt Burns born to John Burns and Abbie Burns(Leary)on 8 March 1877. She immagrated to the United States in 1901 and married Francis J Quinn in 1904. We believe she was born in either the townland of Gortramough or Moneyflough outside of Sneem, Kerry Ireland. Any information would be helpful.

Do you know much about Abbie's emigration? Dates, the reason why she left, who she may have travelled with, etc.? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. New York etc..), this could be a good place to find more information.
