Hoping to learn more about my paternal grandmother's family.  Parents were Timothy McCarthy & Mary Nolan.  My grandmother was Mary Theresa McCarthy, born 24 May 1876 and immigrated to the New York City area in the mid 1890s. Sibs were: Catherine (18 Feb 1866), John (26 Oct 1868), Mary (15 Nov 1871-1873), Timothy (29 May 1874), Johanna (4 May 1877) and Julia (19 Aug 1880).  Her three sisters were said to have also immigrated to the US.

My sources were her marriage and death certificates which gave her birthdate and parents names.  Other info is from the LDS FamnilySearch.org site and ancestry.com.

Would appreciate any information available on this family.

    Civil registration records are available from the General Register Office (GRO). These start from 1864. You can access the website here: http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm
