  • Hi Robert,

You can try posting as much information as you can regarding these people. The more infomrtation that you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to assist you.

Do you know much about their emigration? Dates, the reason why they left, who they may have travelled with etc.? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. Liverpool, New York etc....), this could be a good place to find more information, and perhaps even find out an exact place of origin.

Have you tried contacting the Kildare Genealogy Centre for further assistance?

  • Thank's for your response. Patrick was married on July 14,1845,at Notre-Dame  Catholic church,Ottawa,Ontario Canada.I checked Rootsireland for baptismal record, and also about when he departed Ireland with no result's.He must have left between 1839-1844.I do not know what port they arrived In.I looked on ancestry.com for immigration record's,but could not find any.I do not know who they left with or why.I have not tried the Kildare Genealogy Centre.I do not think his parent's left Ireland.
