Looking for the parish records for a marriage that took place in the church of Ireland in January 1863, as well as a baptism that took place in November 1863.  I've been unable to locate the parish records.

Many thanks!

  • North Roots:

The records appear to be on Roots Ireland. Can you provide names?

  • Hi, Roger -

Strange - when RootsIreland was PPV, I thought I looked for them without success.

Marriage: William Mitchell to Jane Hector, 24 Jan 1863 - Please note: I have the Civil Reg of this marriage - I'm hoping to find the PR.

Baptism: William Mitchell, b. Nov 1863.  Not sure that he was baptised, but it's a good guess.  Might have baptised Church of Ireland, or Methodist or other Dissenting church.

    Thank you for volunteering!

  • North Roots:

I'm just seeing your coment. We have a program problem which prevents us from being notified when an additional comment is made. I just happened to see your comment going back through old messages. The program problem is expected to be fixed by tomorrow.

In any event, I searched for the two records with no success which matches your prior experience. Not sure why since the Ballysax messages are supposed to be on Roots.

  • My ancestor was stationed at Curragh Camp.  I've wondered if their was a separate chapel there?  The rector who performed the marriage was Henry F Martin.  I'd like to prove a transcription error - and have original signatures!
