In 1839 my great-great grandmother Judith/Judy Purcell married John Doherty (born in Moville, Donegal). She had a twin brother his wife's name was Anastasia Purcell. In 1856 Judith, John and three sons emigrated to South Australia.

I would like to know if she left relatives behind when she left Ireland.

  • Hi there, my geat grandma was called Anastasia & was from Ireland.  I think her maiden name was kelly but she married Thomas Pucell from Callan and they later moved to London in the 1950's.  Could this be the Anastasia you are looking for?
