My ancestor Patrick Cantwell was born in Donnammagon County Kilkenny in 1797. He emigrated to Canada in approx 1819. He married Catherine Price. Any information on the family would be welcomed Another ancestor Lawrence Rice whom I believe to be from Kilkenny emigrated approx the same time to Canada also I was told the family was related to Brother Rice Any information appreciated Thank you

I assume your Cantwell and Rice ancestors were RC? If they were from Dunamaggan records do not begin until 1826 and the parish of Callan (where Brother Rice was from) has records starting in 1821. Roots Ireland had baptismal records for a Patrick Cantwell in 1793 1795 and 1797. A trancription for the 1797 record is below. There is no way to confirm this record without parents names. Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?
