  • I know this post is a few years old. I too have a Margaret Cassin from Kilkenny. She married William 'John' Hurly and had 3 sons that I have confrrmed. Margaret was born about 1800 and died in 18 Jan.1865 in Glenpipe, Dystermoon Parish, Kilkenny. She was living with her son Richard I believe and was a widow. Her too other sons Michael J.(1827) and Joseph(1832) were born in Castlemoris, Ballyhale,Parish Derrynahinch,Knocktopher, Kilkenny. Other possible children, Patrick(1824),William(1826), Bridgit(1837). Joseph and Michael (and possibly William) emigrated to Ontario, Canada in the early 1850's.  I haven't had much luck finding the Hurly or Cassin name in Kilkenny. A family member has been the one to provide Margarets death record. I have yet to look at all the links provided in the response. Just wanted to see if there was a possible connection. My personal email in erynn.mcgee@gmail.com  Thank You
