Looking for information on Drays mainly from Thomastown, Inistioge, and Tullaherin, but also about Griffin, Hayes, and Lannin names that may be associated with Dray (Drea). Mary Ann Drea/Dray was my greatgrandmother 1858-1911, daughter of Richard Dray, and born in Manchester, NH, with other Drays. Mary Ann married James Joseph Griffin 1857-1933 in Manchester in 1881 and had 3 children. Brien O'Callaghan, cell: 203.788.6993, brienoc@att.net, and at this website. Bethel, CT, USA.

Re:  Drea family. There is an elderly gentleman mr. Drea who resides on a farm in Blackwell, just southeast of Bennettsbridge.  We wrote to him last year because our Butler ancestors lived either on that farm or nearby in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  His son responded and I will try to locate that response in order to provide his contact info.  That is a well known name in that area  I will also show your question to a friend from County Kilkenny who is visiting aug 23..  paula lader, Alexandria,va

  • You are welcome, Brien.  I have written to the younger Mr. Drea, asking if I may pass his contact information on to you.
