I'm trying to find out where my family lives and what perish. My grandfather(Patrick Murphy)'s cousin James Murphy still lived on the "homestead" as of 10 years ago, but I don't know the exact location. I believe he is between 60 and 85 year of age but not 100% sure. Thanks!

I have read and reread your post and on the information given you are looking for the place where James Murphy lived up to ten years ago?
As you may appreciate there must be thousands of James Murphys in Ireland so you will have to give us much more information to start a search.
You need to get your father's birth certificate and look at the info there. Was he born in Ireland or US? What was his fathers name, does it give an address? What date was your father born? this may help in getting his parent' s marriage cert. Your grandfathers marriage certificate will contain more information.
It's detective work, but only you can give us these dates and names in order to start the search on this side of the pond. You will have to apply to the local authorities in US for these certficates, but once you have them then you can make a start in tracing your family history here.
