i can't tell if you have the church or civil marriage record for Denis and Johanna. If you don't have the civil record, the index record is below and if you get a copy, it will show the name of his father. A copy costs around 4 euros from the General Register Office. If you are interested in getting a copy let me know and I will forward instructions.

    As requested.

    Roger

Go to this link http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx In the middle of the page there are links for birth, marriage or death certificates. Hit the link for the form you want. You will likely get a screen asking for a User Name and Password. (This is a program bug that the GRO has to correct). Hit cancel and the appropriate form should come up. Print the form and complete the requested information. Also provide the information from the index record--quarter/year of the event, registration district and the volume and page number where the event is recorded. Make sure you ask for a copy which costs around 4 euros. ( A cert costs closer to 20 euros). You can also ask the GRO to e-mail the copy back to you.

  • I understand that Ballymullen was an army barracks back in the 1800s, are there any records of individuals that served there at the time? I am trying to get any information on  Denis Daly( b 1859)

    Thanks

  • Hi

Can anyone assist, trying to trace decendants of Henry DALY  (B 1889 Tralee) and Mary Ellen O Brian, they lived in Tralee, Children were Henry b1911, John b1912, Eugene b1919, Mary Ellen b1913. I think there were at least three other children, Anne b??, Denis b?? and possibly Christine/a b??.( a Christina was  born in 1909 but died very young).

    What i know so far:

Eugene B 1919 married Catherine Conroy.

Denis Daly b ?? married  McCarthy in Paddington, London in 1967.

Anne lived in liverpool in the 1950s and 60s

Christine/a lived in Sheffield in the 1950s/60s

Henry b 1889, died in Talee in the 1950s or 60s( cant find a record though).

henry b 1889, was in the British army (Connaught Rangers??), then the Irish army.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.
