I am going to be in Kilkenny April 15-17 and was hoping to see if I could find out if any of the churches where my ancestors were baptized/married are still there so that I could go see them.  They were Roman Catholic.  Here are the records I have been able to locate:

Baptism: my 3x great grandfather
Martin Dillon
Baptized  16 Nov 1801 in Aghaboe Parish, Ossory Diocese
Father John Dillon  Mother: Judith MacDanel
Place: Keelough Townland

Marriage-my 3x great grandparents
Martin Dillon married Margaret Phelan
November 1826
Diocese: Ossory Marriage place: Camross
Witness: Lawrence Phelan

Martin and Margaret had  at least 7 children:
1, Mary b. abt 1830

2.John
Baptism 7 March 1830
Baptized Camross
Sponsor: Thomas Flynn, Mary Costigan

3.Judith
Baptized in Offerlane Parish Varient  Castletown Diocese: Ossory
Place: Townland Knockannagad

4. Lane (sp?)
Baptized Camross March 1840

5. Lawrence
6. Patrick
7. Margaret

Tithe Applotment Book
John Dillon 1830 Rathcrea Townland Moyanna Parish  (could be an unrelated Dillon, or Martin’s father.
No Martin Dillon, Lawrence Phelan, Thomas Flinn or MacDanal (MacDaniel) in records.
Griffith Valuation
No record of Martin Dillon

Emigration Martin and Margaret left Ireland with their children in 1849 and emigrated to the United States. Lane(sp?) must have died in Ireland, as not on ship record with rest of the family.

I have the following questions:
Can you tell from the church records what church the marriage or baptism took place?
Any graveyards associated with these parishes that I could search for family?
Any suggestions for  further research

Thank you so much. I hope my post is clear.

Mary
