Hello, I am looking for information on my Great-Great Grandfather John Kilbride Sr and his wife Mary Mahoney. He was born 1778 and they emigrated as a couple with little ones to Canada in 1823. I have found many Kilbrides in County Laois but nothing to tie him to them and nothing on Mary Mahoney. I do know that there was a John Kilbride who came from Cappawhite, Tipperary in 1750's with John Hunt and purchased some land and married Judith Byrne. Any more information would be so appreciated. My apologies for the very late response. Have you managed to learn anymore about these ancestors? You may be interested in the Early Birth and Marriage Index as many parish records do not begin until the mid to late 1800s:
