Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Are you looking for information on ancestors in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Can you provide more specifics: names, dates etc so that one of our volunteers can try to assist you. Thanks.

I had some success with the Gannons. In the 1901 census, they were living in Cuilmore townland, Annaduff civil parish. In 1911, Patrick was deceased and Maria was living with her married daughter in law Mary as you indicated. I could not locate a marriage record for Patrick Gannon and Maria Beirne either on Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie or www.findmypast.ie which is unusual.
I did locate the likely marriage record for the young Patrick Gannon in 1905. His wife was probably mary Diffley (see below). I also located the likely death index record for the older Patrick Gannon in the last quarter of 1901. The age fits his age on the 1901 census. (There was another Patrick Gannon who died in the same quarter but he was only 60). (see record below).
Finding the Flynns will take more time. I will get back to you.

I found a little information on the Flynns but it gets complicated because Flynn is a very common surname in Co. Leitrim.
I went to Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie and worked with the indexes and found that a James Flynn was baptized in 1869 to parents Patrick Flynn and Mary McKeon in the Kiltubrid RC parish.
I then went into Roots and found two marriages of Patrick Flynn and Mary McKeon: one in 1855 and the other 1856. The 1855 marriage took place in Kiltubrid so I assume that this marriage was for your relatives. The 1856 marriage was in another parish so I discounted that record.
I then went to the 1901 census for Kiltubbrid civil parish (Kiltubbrid is the official spelling). There were a number of Flynn households but no Patrick married to Mary and no Patrick as a widower so I assumed that Patrick was deceased prior to 1901. There were 3 Mary Flynn households in Kiltubbrid but could not determine if any of the three was Mary McKeon. It is quite possible that she was also deceased by 1901.I looked at the death index records but there are far too many Patrick Flynns and Mary Flynns in the Carrick on Shannon registration district to determine which one may have pertained to your Patrick and Mary.
Roots Ireland is a pay site if you want to view a transcription of a church record.
Let me know if you have any more clues on your Flynns.

Roger,
Thank you so much for your work! I am impressed by how much information you found. It all seems to be coinciding with the information that I am aware of and believe to be true. If I find out any more details regarding the Flynns, I will post it here. Thank you, again, for your wonderful help!

Hello Cassandra,
I too am doing research on Mary Ann Flynn Gannon and I believe you & I believe we are related. I have some information and documentation you may be interested in but not sure how to get it to you. My Mary Ann Flynn was born to James Flynn and Mary McKeon on Jan. 1, 1876. I have her marriage certificat to Edward James Gannon in New Haven in 1892. Edward is the son of Patrick Gannon & Mary Beirnes of Ireland. I also have my Edward Gannon's naturalization documents. I have documents from the Leitrim Genealogy Centre confirming the above. I'm still doing more research for Mary Ann Flynn. I have her death certificate. My father and aunt remember their grandmother very well and spoke fondly of her. Let me know if I can help or maybe we can help each other. I think you maybe the Gannon's from Wallingford as I know we have 3rd-4th cousins there. Let me know if we can make contact. :)

Hello,
I realize this is an old chain, but I wondered if it was still active? I also am related to Gannons from the Annaduff Parish and have tried to do some family research. I would love to connect and learn anything more. My great grandparents emigrated in 1850 and 1861 and settled in Wallingford, CT. My great-grandfather, Patrick Gannon, was born in 1842 in Roscommon and attended the School of Annaduff. I believe he was one of nine children, whose parents were Thomas and Catherine (Mulhern).
Thank you,
Trish Gannon
