    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

    I tried to locate Bernard and Mary Kean in the 1901 census to determine the townland  Looked in Carrick on Shannon and also Kiltoghert parish but was unsuccessful. Any other clues?

    Also tried to find a civil death index record for Mary Anne but the only 1909 death showed an 1850 year of birth. Possibly that is the correct record but the informant got the year of birth wrong.

    I also posted under Kiltoghert showing my grandmothers paternal Gildea Family. As it turns out, I found a listing for a William Gildea, but I"m not 100% sure which William it is. My great-great-grandparents were William Gildea & Catherine Turbert and they had a son by the same name born somewhere btwn 1830 and 1850 I gather.  They had a total of 9 children. I'm trying to page between this and my Kiltoghert posting for info where my full family tree is. Someone just contacted me to say Michael Gildea and Agnes Collison are her great grandparents.  - See more at: http://www.irelandxo.com/ireland/leitrim/kiltoghert/message-board/gilde…;

    And my 3x great grandparents were John Gildea and Mary Lynch.

    Griffith's Valuation has a listing for a William Gildea. He was a tenant farmer, renting from a John Gumly. Location of house and farm says Leitrim,Union of Carrick-on-Shannon, Parish of Kiltoghert in the townland of Ashnagollop. We know our family lived in Drumshanbo and Aghnagollop. The printing date says 1856.

    Maybe my other family tree is more helpful.
