As you can see from the link below, Rossinver is a Civil Parish in Co. Leitrim:

Records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parishes of Kinlough begin in 1835 and Glenade begin in 1867. Have you already searched the sites suggested below for records of Hugh and his family?

There are some places where you can search online, however these websites do not have complete collections and many do not cover the period after 1900:

www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.

www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.

http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ have begun a project to upload Irish church records to their site free of charge. However, so far only Counties Dublin, Kerry, Carlow and parts of Cork have been covered.

It may be the case that your ancestors were baptised before the records for that parish started. If this is the case, you could also check the Tithe Applotment Books and Griffith?s Valuation:

Even though these sources only name the head of household, it is still important to retain this information.

Am interested in your Mary Carson. I too have Carson relatives from Leitrim, and probably from Rossinver Parish. My great great great grandfather was William Carson (abt 1788 - abt 1871) who moved with his wife Anne (possibly Dixon from Fermanagh) to Canada in the early 1840's with 5 of their children born between 1813 and 1824. We have assumed that some of the elder children probably stayed, and it sounds like your Mary might have been one of them.

From what I can tell there weren't many Carsons in Leitrim early to mid 1800's. I've researched the Tithe Applotment records and Griffiths to figure out a lot of it.

There were 3 William Carson households in Leitrim in 1833, 2 of which lived in Rossinver Parish, one in Tullyskeherny, the other in Derrynahimmirk townland. If you search Griffiths you'll see that there is only a single Carson household left in Leitrim that isn't associated with Rev. J. Carson who leased properties via the church. It turns out this isn't quite right. There are 3 "Casson"s which have been mistranscribed, one of which is John who is still living in Derrynahimmirk in a house, probably in his later years.

Wm. ended up in Grey County near Owen Sound in ON, but the family all ended up moving to Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
