John R. Hartnett b. 1817 and spouse Ellen Farrell b. 1821 apparently lived in or near Askeaton prior to their departure for America. Their five children born in Ireland from 1839 to 1848 were baptized in Askeaton. John & Ellen were married in Kildimo on 4 Feb 1839. All of this information is sourced. At this time I am researching John and would appreciate any information at all. Thank you.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
I checked rootsireland.ie but it would be difficult to say which, if any, of the baptisms listed there are relevant to John as we don't know a father/mother's name. Given that RC records for Askeaton begin in 1829 this may be as much as you you learn about John from parish records. There doesn't seem to be a John Hartnett listed on the Griffith's Valuation for that parish either.
