I am still trying to find any local reference to my ancestor whom I understand was born in Bruff in about 1785.  Her name was listed as Ann Hagar Fitzgerald.  I believe that Hagar could be a Scottish name.

It may be that her name was in fact simply Ann Hagar and that she married a Fitzgerald.

She had 4 sons in Bruff - James 1805; John 1807; William 1809 and Richard 1811.  John eventually emigrated to England and became a successful Master Tailor in Birmingham and later in London.  The other boys I think migrated to the Baltimore/New York areas in the US.

Is there any way of accessing local birth / marriage records?

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
